ARTIST'S BIO
About Noise Control
Noise Control, the boundary breaking Dublin-based band that fuse the world of rock and dance to incendiary proportions, release their debut UK single – a double A-side Cities of Dreams/Mudbath on 6th October 2008. The songs will be available to download from all the usual online stores from October 6th.
Owing to their sheer mind-bending prowess, instrumental versions of both tracks will be featured on the soundtrack for Disney Interactive’s award winning action video game Pure (worldwide release 26 September) alongside tracks by stalwarts We Are Scientists, The Futureheads and Pendulum among others.
Cities of Dreams is an adrenaline-fuelled atom bomb of cross-over drum-and-bass that bleeds with rip-roaring industrial riffs. Festival homage Mudbath is every bit thedirty guitar track that its title alludes to. On both tracks, MC and vocalist Mark Kid taunts and teases in equal measure with his lyrical blitzkrieg.
Noise Control have already been tipped by Hot Press as Hits of the Near Future, in Jan ’08, describing their sound as “guitar-heavy electronic riffage with spirited MCing from Mark Kid”. They’ve already had stellar support slots with some the worlds’ most exciting acts including pioneers of the dance rock genre The Prodigy (Liam Howlett personally picked them as support band for the ‘Their Law’ tour), Underworld, Basement Jaxx, Asian Dub Foundation and Mylo.
With a formidable live show perfected Make sure to catch there ecstatic live show with dirty riffs, electro, rock, and punk wrapped up and suitable for any music lovers palate.
Hotpress: "NC deliver a storming set in the pod stage.." we think its gonna be even better in 2009......
